The Nathaniel Dett Chorale is Canada’s first professional choral group dedicated to Afrocentric music of all styles. We have a demanding concert and touring season, and we’re looking for skilled individuals committed to working hard while having fun.

The Chorale has had a successful eleven years of performance both at home in Toronto, throughout Canada and the United States, and also into Europe. As we embark on our twelfth concert season, we will be presenting another sensational three-concert series at the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto, as well as touring to Northern Canada and Western United States.

AUDITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Please prepare 2 pieces to sing at your audition – one classical piece (eg. aria, art song, lied)
; one popular piece (eg. jazz, blues, gospel)

**Provide 2 copies of each of your chosen pieces in the correct key

** Accompanist will be provided

• Performance Resume
• 8×10 glossy black and white photo

In addition to your repertoire, you will be required to demonstrate professional level sight singing, improvisational and musicianship skills.

Auditions are held at St. TImothy’s Anglican Church, located at 100 Old Orchard Grove in North Toronto
