It showcases Adolphus Hailstork’s impressive Five Short Choral Works, which include striking settings of Arthur Graham’s “I Will Sing of Life” and the beloved Yeats poem “The Cloths of Heaven”; Ricky Ian Gordon’s Three By Langston, settings of love poems by famed poet Langston Hughes; and Carlos Alberto Pinto Fonseca’s monumental Missa Afro-Brasileira, based on Afro-Brazilian rhythms and lullabies.
